An Alpha Unit, or αU, is the average distance between Earth and Terra Alter, the fourth planet orbiting αCenA. It was calculated by the Hra'vakh Exploration Expedition to be 2.6 light years. It is the primary unit of astronomical measure in the hra'vakh system; humans instead use the parsec.
