History

Settlement

The elves came to Tyrasii ca. 276 by Tyrasii Reckoning (TR). They made peace with the Kuzur'l king Brank'lii, who treated them as refugees and sheltered them, allotting them the forest land to the north; the desert-dwelling Kuzur'l had no use for it. The elves existed peacefully alongside the Kuzur'l until the next king, Tarroz, decided that the forest was an eyesore and that it should be dissertation help cleared.

When the logging operation began in 352 TR, the barbaric Kuzur'l soldiers slaughtered a young family of elves before destroying their tree home. Aryësa, their matriarch, heard of the atrocity and brought her grievances to the king in Kaz'entelii. She emphasized that she came in peace.

Tarroz told her how he abhorred the forest and the trees, and how he wanted to raze it and make all of Tyrasii—at that time, all of Luscia—into a desert. When Aryësa agrued for the benefits of trees and lush vegetation, Tarroz lost patience and ordered her executed. She massacred her assailants and escaped.

When she returned to Fordín, the capital city of the elven nation, she told the tale to the populace and called them to action, formally declaring war on the Kuzur'l.

The Kuzur'l War

The Kuzur'l War, sometimes referred to in the plural, was the bloodiest and longest of the elven conflicts. It began in 353 and lasted for more than three hundred years. The estimated casualties:

  • Elves: 300,000
  • Kuzur'l: 4,000,000+ (total extinction)

Early Stages

The early years of the war showed the most elven losses. As a budding ration of refugees, the elves had no organized military. But under Aryësa, whom the elves declared their queen, they managed to avoid extinction.

It wasn't until a group of dragons came across the sea, fleeing from the tyrannical government of their homeland, that the elves stood a chance.
