Patricia Nancy Patterson, maiden name Farnsworth, is a 22-year-old student at MIT, trying to attain her BS in Biochemistry. She is married to and is carrying the child of her childhood friend and foster brother, Trent Patterson

Born in 1991 to Paul and Nancy Farnsworth, Trish came from a happy home in Salem, Massachusetts, just down the street from her father's college roommate Dan Patterson. Trent and she played together as children, joking about marriage and how each one had a crush on the other. By eighth grade, she was madly infatuated with him, and wanted desperately for him to ask her out. She got her wish Freshman year of high school, when he asked her if she wanted to start dating. She jumped on the opportunity, being quite a bit more mature than her fourteen years, and they began a steady relationship.
The December after her sixteenth birthday, her parents were driving home from a date one night when their car hit a patch of black ice. Her father was an accomplished driver, and managed to safely regain control of the vehicle, but not before a vehicle traveling too fast behind them hit the patch of ice and collided with their Subaru. The Subaru was largely undamaged by the impact, but was sent straight for a tree, which it struck, killing both Trish's parents instantly.
The Farnsworths had planned long before to make the Pattersons Trish's legal guardians, were something to happen to them before she turned eighteen. And with two years left as a minor, the executor of the estate, Paul's brother Justin, placed Trish in the Pattersons' care. After two months, Dan and Louisa Patterson decided to adopt Trish into their family, and she changed her name to Patterson to fully assimilate into her new family.
Because of the Pattersons' small, three-bedroom house, and Trent's younger brother and sister already sharing a room and not willing to give it up, Trish and Trent moved in together. Both of them seized the opportunity, and slowly but surely began further advancing their relationship. It started with foreplay after the lights were doused every night, and then escalated until on her seventeenth birthday, she gave Trent her virginity.
She finished high school and attained an AA in Business from Boston Community College while Trent worked toward his two degrees at UW. She remained true to him until he returned, and both of them applied to MIT together, gaining admission with full ride scholarships for their academic accomplishments. She met Erica Lawrence her freshman year, while she was still dating Trent. At the end of her freshman year, Trent proposed, and she accepted.
That summer she went with Erica and Reggie White to British Columbia.
